BIOGRAPHY: Ring of Fire, affectionately known as Cash, was bred by WinStar Farm and competed at all three NYRA racetracks, breaking his maiden in Saratoga in August of 2021, and winning at Belmont later that year, and again in 2022. Injured in his final career start at Saratoga that July, he retired with three wins in 13 starts and earnings of $151,113.
Cash retired to Lucky Orphans that summer and embarked on his new career as a therapy horse. His gentle nature and remarkable resilience have made him exceptionally effective in helping humans overcome mental and emotional struggles. His ability to connect with individuals, despite physical limitations, underscores his dedication and compassion. Beyond his racing career, Cash has found a new calling in the Lucky Orphans Youth Development Program. His gentle nature and love for people make him an ideal teacher for children, guiding them in approaching, handling, leading, and working with horses. Cash’s presence has not only enriched the program but has also positively impacted the lives of countless children, instilling confidence and respect for animals.
